JUSTINA VAICELIONYTE
JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
Justina Vaicelionyte is a junior architectural designer whose work is driven by a deep interest in environmental resiliency, materiality, and spatial storytelling. With a Master of Architecture from Florida International University and a bachelor's in Sustainability and the Environment, she approaches architecture as a medium to cultivate meaningful relationships between people and place.
Her design ethos is rooted in passive strategies, context-responsive solutions, and a strong respect for the natural environment. Justina’s process emphasizes how architecture can heighten sensory experiences by using light, shadow, sound, and texture as integral design elements. She is particularly interested in the use of natural and locally sourced materials to create spaces that are both grounded and forward-thinking.
Prior to joining Studio Plasencia, Justina worked in high-end residential and hospitality design, producing comprehensive drawing sets and custom millwork details. She has contributed to institutional projects through Design by FIU and was selected as a Ratcliffe Design and Incubator Fellow where she researched sustainable materials and developed furniture-scale prototypes exploring environmental adaptability.
